Road cruising Apalachicola National Forest

So recent finds









It was sad to find this DOR is it an Appilachicola Kingsnake?

I was cruising Apalachicola two weeks ago and found this....

Super sad... looks like perhaps a bird of prey dropped it. I was passed that spot right there by about 30', did a u-turn, and then found it there. So I must've JUST missed the bird, or whatever, drop it there. What a waste.

Yeah it sucks I also found a dor scarlet king the same night as th apalchicola King . Well at least we know there around. Only a matter of time till a live one shows up

Yeah absolutely! I was there 5 days, herping sunrise to sunset, and all I found were venomous snakes... then that one DOR King...

Really you should try road cruising from dusk until about midnight about 35 miles per hour with high beams on I usually see on average four snakes during that time sometimes more. I have found two live scarlet king snakes in the past two weeks in only three nights of road cruising or about 8 hours total

Yup lots of Pygmys during the day. I haven't seen any at night though

Wow the variations in the kingsnakes are pretty wild aren't they. The one I found was totally different thank yours . Mine was speckled like the picture from head to tail
