Paul Lorenz
I just received a Savu python from Paul Lorenz.
I'm not too pleased with the way he was packed, he was packed in far too small of a shipping box (9" x 6" x 7"), directly on top of the heat pack. The heat pack registered at 102F upon arrival and the Savu was at 95F body temperature. Thankfully the Savu doesn't look like he's in any trouble from being on top of the heat pack so long.
He was also packed in styrofoam packing peanuts, I don't know why people pack animals in styrofoam peanuts, as it restricts air flow through the box. IMHO, newspaper is cheaper, and much better!
Upon opening the bag, the Savu was covered in mites. I could see them crawling on the sides of the bag. There are mites crammed in the Savu's eye sockets as well. Otherwise, the snake looks ok.
So FYI... watch out for mites from Paul Lorenz! Paul, you might want to invest in some reptile relief and some good shipping boxes.
