"Droopy Eye" Condition

We were looking on ReptileAuction.com and were very interested in one dragon in particular. Someone questioned about his genetics and the fact that the dragon appeared to have "droopy eye" and it was part of his genetics and shouldn't be used for breeding because of this. We've never heard of this before . . . is there such a thing? What does it look like? Is it genetic?

Can't say I have heard of it. I'll ask Mike and see if he can post on this. I've only recently starting reading up on the dragons and their care. I'm more into making enclosures.

Hi, it could be genetic, but the slouchy/droopy eyes can be lack of vitamin A in the diet. Josh

If it is from a vitamin A deficiency, what would you add to the dragons diet to bring it back up to the correct levels? Or is this not correctable?

One of the best things to do is gut-load your feeders with carrots, fish flakes, and dust a couple of times a week with multivitamin(rep-cal). Josh
