This species is extremely rare. This rare crab is believed to be evil by superstitious locals who think they only come down from the hills in the rainy season to eat corpses in graveyards.
ONLY two have ever been collected on Barbados for the commercial trade in the last decade. One small one was shipped to Europe a few years ago. We have ONE MONSTEROUS-SIZED adult. The pic link above shows the actual monster.
