When was you first snake bite?!!!!

1st bite was a diamond back water snake when I was herping at the age of 11. It was about as long as I was tall at the time. I am grateful to him, he taught me to respect. He also taught me the importance of being able to identify what the heck just bite you. I became the resident expert after that experience lol

Before then, I lived in Venezuela. I was an inquisitive kid. This resulted in a myriad of different bites, including being bitten by a wild Parrot, ridiculously large ants, and wild iguanas and nearly being bitten by a very wild large tortoise ( I wish I knew what type).

My first was my fault...It was a juvenile ball python named Allegra...got me right on the miggle finger! I have to say, it didn't hurt at all...Surprisingly, I'm going to get a retic that's like a puppydog...It's weird. The snake that is supposed to be the most docile is the one bit me, and largest and one of the most aggressive snakes is really sweet....strange.

The first one that I remember was by a 8' female red tail. I was taking her out of the tub and I had thought I bumped my elbow against the wall but then my friend noticed I was dripping blood down the hallway. Sure enough she had gotten me right on the elbow. Over the next few days it turned into a big black bruise so she must have gotten me good, but I didn't notice. XD

My first bite was a hatchling Rough Scale Sand Boa that bit me on the thumb. It didn't even break my skin but it surprised me!

My first snake bite was with my 14ft Burmese Python Male.
It was feeding time and even though I didnt handle any rodents
he knew anyway. As soon as I opened his enclosure, he put my whole wrist in his mouth and proceeded to wrap his entire body
around my arm. I tried not to panic but my arm was swelling and blood was dripping everywhere. I finally got him to open his mouth and let me go.

I was 3 or 4 years old. My father use t be the Education Director at the Miami Zoo in florida. He and Bill Zigler always were in the Everglades looking for snakes and whatever else they would find. I would go with them from time to time. Long story short.... Rat snake got me in the arm. Last bite???? last week from one of my Green Tree Pythons. I'm 40 now....

BROWN WATER SNAKE IN THE FOREARM ABOUT 40 YEARS AGO RIGHT AFTER I CAUGHT HER. 2 HOURS LATER SHE DELIVERED 23 BABIES. LAST BITE WAS ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO, ARGENTINE BOA, HE DIDN'T MEAN IT. HES A 7 FT SWEETY.

I have yet to be bitten actually, however I just got a new White Lipped Python who is trying very hard to change that. I am actually a little surprised because I own GTPs, WLPs, Womas, Pines and a Mangrove. The day it happens will be a memorable day though because I have owned snakes since I was a 10!

My first bite was age 3 by an eastern garter. My most recent bite was this morning by a pueblan milksnake lol. And hundreds and hundreds in between!

I have had snakes for MANY years.Getting bit sucks!After it happens I am always thinking how I could prevent it.The larger snakes I am am less leery of,the smaller ones (under 10 ft) always spook me.It's the green annie.I know this is gonna sound silly,I put glasses on when I have to deal with her.I love my sight!She has got me in the face before.My fault though.
