Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Genetics, Taxonomy, Hybridization General discussions about the science of genetics as well as the ever changing face of taxonomy. Issues concerning hybridization are welcome here as well.

smith710	Chahoua locals and Chahoua X Ciliatus... Is there a way to tell the difference between the two different locals? Like, say someone was selling a pine island chahoua.... How do you know if it is really a pine island chahoua and not a mainland???? I have been trying to find the answer to this forever but I can't find anything! Also, I am going to be getting a male Chahoua very soon... I know I'm still asking questions, but that's basically the only question I need to know. But what do all you guys think about cross breeding chahouas with ciliatus??? I am debating wether or not to do it. I don't do this kind of stuff for profit, I do this for the hobby. I love reptiles, I just want to know what everybody thinks about this whole concept...
