The death of potato chips.

.....we finally found some of the new Lays made in sunflower oil. I bought a big bag and tried them out, and gave them a thorough review.
They were great!!! I could not tell a difference. They had the same color, texture, etc. as the older ones.
Webslave, I wonder if you got some of a big batch that was scattered about town that was from a batch that was burnt, and the quality control, if there is any, overlooked some in the factory?
What I did like was that it was just three ingredients in them, being potatoes, Sunflower oil, and salt. Less is better in my opinion. Read a label for Nacho Cheese Doritos,..it is like reading a chemistry book.

So, overall, I was pleased with them. That's my opinion. My lunchtime is now not ruined.

Since Rich started this thread I have been doing a very in depth analysis of the Lays product (to the tune of a couple bags to a few bags a week)(see another thread for definitions of those quantities). I can say this, the wavy Lays are very good perhaps my favorite the regular Lays something isn't quite right to my tastes. If that makes any sense. How they compare to pre switch I just cant remember. May have to go into more research. I am sure Frito Lay really likes what you have done for their sales Rich.
