Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

The Welcome Room & New Member Intros How about a place for new members to come on in, make an introduction, and meet the regulars? Talk about yourself or anything else that comes to mind, just to break the ice. Or just pull up a chair and make yourself at home for a spell. |

45 bucks to fill my mazda protege and that gets me maybe 350 miles. This is crazy their estimating it'll be 5 dollars a gallon by the end of the year.

I've been driving a 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5RX since May 2002. The first time I went to the gas station to fill up, it cost me $20. I just filled up a couple days ago and it cost me $37.50 .
My car goes about 260 miles before needing to be filled up again and that lasts me for about a week. $37.50/week to drive... And that's why I started taking public transportation with a difference of approximately $24/week. I think I'll be doing this for a while until gas prices start going down again

I HAD to fill up on Thursday, went to the cheapest station around, and paid $3.09 a gallon for the cheap stuff.
A few hours later, I had to take my son to get his hair cut for school pictures. so we drove the 18 miles to where he gets it cut.....and the station next door to the salon was $2.69. Just because we went over the Minnesota border (where it's USUALLY always higher!) I got ripped off by 40 cents a gallon.....I said some VERY unladylike words.

Prices have eased some here. Regular gasoline can be found for $2.80-3.05, and diesel for $2.75-$2.90. Premium gasoline can now be had for $3.00-$3.25.

Prices here have continued to come down but are still about $0.25 higher per gallon than before Katrina. Gasoline today was $2.599/$2.699/$2.799 (regular/mid-grade/premium). Diesel was $2.699.
I bought 29.863 gallons of diesel for $80.60. The guy in the pump in front of me was in an Excursion and bought 42+ gallons. Ouch!

The grocery store by me has an awesome deal. For every $50 you spend you get .10 of per gallon at their station. You can save it up to the price per gallon. I just put 30 gallons in for $45.00, $1.499 per gallon after my rebated $1.10 per gallon. Saved a cool $33.00 just buying groceries. Can't beat that.
