Another Hide-Box substrate question...

Hi,

Can someone tell me if its correct to use "Sphagnum moss" or "Sphagnum Peat moss" in the egg-laying hide, and what's the difference? I'm currently using wet Sphagum moss.

Thanks,

Matt

if you are going ot use moss, spagnum is the way to go.. peat is too much like dirt. I cant think of anyone that is using it. I use vermeculite in all of mine.

I use peat moss its works great! Hold moister extremely well, its a pain when its dry so fluffy and soft/ligth. I mist the nest boxes twice a week or so. Ron Trempor uses this stuff too.
