Quercus virginiana) leaves available for shipping now! If you keep any kind of forest animal leaf litter is the perfect top dressing to a naturalistic set up. It covers the substrate layer providing a matrix of hides to make your animals feel more comfortable, and it also provides a constant in-tank food source for your clean up crew.
While any non-toxic species of leaf will do, live oak provides many benefits that others cannot. Because live oak trees are native to the coastal U.S., the leaves are able to stand up to high moisture like what it would experience in a dart frog terrarium, making them very long lasting. Also, live oak leaves are fairly small, increasing the surface area for microfauna to reproduce and also keeping the leaf litter layer in scale with the rest of the tank. From 10g's to massive centerpiece vivs, live oak leaves provide a great look to the floor.

1 gallon bags- $7
2.2 gallon boxes- $12 ($5.45/gal)
5.3 gallon boxes- $25 ($4.71/gal)

Shipping will be via USPS priority and has been running approximately $8 for 1-3 bags or the 2.2 g box and $10 for the 5.3 g box.
