The Welcome Room & New Member Intros How about a place for new members to come on in, make an introduction, and meet the regulars? Talk about yourself or anything else that comes to mind, just to break the ice. Or just pull up a chair and make yourself at home for a spell.

Hello , I am new to this board because I have a renewed interest in anoles and frogs .
I started out over twenty years ago with geckos and anoles lost interest and now I am back .
Some of the anoles I have kept are Cybotes , Allisoni , Winstoni , Sabanus , Trinitatus , Roquet , Garmani and Leaches anoles . These are what I am looking for now . I don't know if it is inflation or greed that people ask such high prices for these anoles . I used to be in it for the love of the animals and would pass that along to others with an interest not to make a huge profit . Sorry for the rant . I hope to learn new things here .

Yeah I know how shocking it is being out for a long period, I got out of reptiles for a while.
I was wholesaling retailing and breeding back in the mid 80's to early 90's and we sold alot of animals like pumpkin orange and lemon yellow ball pythons for $60 and now I see the morph craze with less spectacular animals commanding prices in the thousands.
It was quite a shock from the old days,
The good point is husbandry has come along way and we no longer have to do trial and error on most herps readily available and most are now captive bred and much healthier than they prior!

Well , a lot of species have come down in price such as Leopard geckos and veiled chameleons . But how about the day geckos ? I used to get Peacocks and Gold dust for $10.00 to $ 12.00 at any show . I think they may be harder to import but they have been introduced to the US . Well it's just interesting how things change .

I have not seen many but they seem to have gone up a bit I seen a gold dust at a local shop for $49 so estimated $20 at shows but don't quote me on them, it has been a while since I wholesaled or retailed.
