Any Ideas of the size of this guy?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with this picture. I think it d.c erebennus. Not sure though. Look at the size of his nostrils! Whoa!

Huge, anyone know?

Judging from the size of the bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) in the background which rarely grows larger than six inches in height, I would guess the total length of the part of the snake you can see in the photograph is 27 inches. Considering you're only seeing the first 5/8ths of the snake here, I would guess the snake's total length is around 60 inches, or five feet in length. Small for an indigo snake, so this is probably a subadult/young adult.

Looks like he/she is getting ready to bow-up by the arched neck. I'd guess 5' in length.

Looks like a 5' D. C. Couperi. Hard to tell, though.

By the way, it's Drymarchron melanurus erebennus, not Drymarchon corais erebennus.
