Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

White House Python Ban Petition
Come on people!
Only 2,085 signatures so far.
At this rate, we will never get the 25,000 needed for consideration.

I already did but do you think this will make a difference? I've been rounding people up at my work to sign it. "Never lose hope" is a statement that maybe void in the US after this.

If we get the 25,000 sigs they have no choice but to review it. It may not completely overturn it but it will give USARK more time to do what they need to do.

The petition website was down for a couple of days because the US government made the huge mistake of shutting down and seizing all the servers and arresting the owners of MegaDownloads, a file sharing company, due to copyright infringements. Anonymous then attacked the government servers. The government isn't making a whole lot of friends right now, with SOPA, PIPA, and the reptile ban. The site is back up now though, so you can sign.

I just signed it and didn't have any problems. It's heavy on javascript, so make sure your firewall/antivirus/script blockers aren't blocking the scripts.
