Agreed Harald. When used properly. Problem is, not many people are willing or able to empty all their cages, and move the animals to a well ventilated area while they clean the cages with C. diacetate. With C. Gluconate, that ain't a real issue which is what I meant by "safer". Gluconate can be used to irrigate mouth and open wounds, where diacetate can't, or shouldn't be used, except topically. But again, proper usage is the key for either one.
BTW, one thing the label doesn't mention, but my vet said I should do when using the Gluconate is, spray on liberally, and let it stand for 5 minutes before wiping down, for max effectiveness.
And I'll have to try that vinegar thing. I got me a few spots that I never could get all the way off. So vinegar will eat that stuff up eh? Makes sense, since it's a mild acid.
