Incubator temps got a little too high!! HELP!

Today marks 2 months for my first batch of eggs. The temps got a little high for a couple hours a day for about 3 days, 86 degrees F, when I usually keep them from anywhere around 83 to 85 degrees F. I must admit I am extremely nervous just as any expecting parent/grandparent may be. Should I have any need to be concerned for the eggs?? If the embryo dies, will the egg go bad or will it look like a healthy egg? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Keep an eye on them but they should be perfectly fine. Many breeders incubate even above that consistently. In between 75-90 degrees the eggs are safe perse but I do recommend the typical 82-85 gradient. Leaves wiggle room for any differences and some feel they hatch out more healthy.

I've seen some incubate higher and have perfectly healthier dragons and then I have also seen the issues many speak of. All that aside tho, you're fine.

At 83-85 degrees, over 60 days is to be expected. 86 degrees is nothing to worry about. Give them time and be patient. I know it must be hard!

I regularly incubate at 88-89 degrees without problems. 100% hatch rate a large portion of the time.
