kinkajou question.

im currently looking for a baby kinkajou , so if anyone knows of a breeder who has one or is expecting one, id love to hear about it but i also have another question. iv owned kinks in the past but i never attempted to have them as a house animal( as in free range of the house, like a cat) i have heard many stories of keepers successfully doing this and even heard of keepers who have got their kinks toilet trained( as in going on the toilet) .its pretty much assumed that kinks cannot be house trained , but if they have been successfully toilet trained by some keepers, this is obviously false...its my belief that in order to train a kink to go in a box or on the toilet, an approach other than positive reenforcement(like what is used for a dog) must be used..kinks are very smart, but unique animals so if a different approach is used , i think they are easier to train that most believe. my problem is that i dont know where to start. they are unlike any other pet so an approach unlike any other must be used.. can someone direct me to a kink keepers forum that discusses keeping kinks and tips and tricks people share? thanks a lot-the only forum i know of is exotichobbyist and that forum is never used, james

kinkajou breeder

Try Jeff Nisson at JDExotics (www.jdexotics.com), I've done business with him for years and fully trust him as a breeder and as someone who will provide you with his knoledge both before and after the sale.

Not to turn this into a BOI type "good guy" post, but I wholeheartedly agree with Jeff Oliver. JDExotics is one of the few exotic animal "specialist" businesses out there and that is good to see. Jeff D. Nisson really knows his Kinkajous and his site is dedicated solely to them (with a wealth of excellent information).

It was never appropriate to the classifieds (I just got tired of moving James' threads).
