Ours stop eating app 3 months before ovulating.

Hold her up... if you see lumps toward her tail end that feels "squishy" almost like air, she's prego aka gravid.

Good luck this season!

My females have tended to go off feed a month or so before ovulating but eat ravenously up til then.

Are you prepared for eggs if she is gravid or know what to do?(pregnant doesn't apply)

I know what to do,I have watch several youtube videos and have done as much reading as i could here. The subject of eating had variouse information. My incubator should be here this week,I ordered it off the internet. There are definatly "lumps" toward her tail end so I am assuming she is gravid.

LOL...(about the bolded print) that's because BP's never read the book!! I've got 2010 girls that are less than 700 grams that quit eating for this year's breeding season. Then I have others that will eat up to about a week or two before laying their eggs.

Last season I had one that I had no idea she had become gravid (never saw any signs, nor any lock-ups). I fed her one week with no problem. Next week she refused, but since BP's can be so finicky, I thought nothing of it. The following week I opened her tub to offer food again.....she was sitting on 6 eggs!!

Best of luck with her!! Don't forget to take/post lots of pics!!!!

I wish mine would read the book! I'm hoping for some surprise eggs myself! Three locks and counting...
