Generally imports are a little tough to get feeding. Some people have gotten great at turning imports into good strong feeders, though, without even breaking a sweat. I think you just need to have a green thumb for it. I know a few people that must have been born with a herpetological horseshoe in their butts. They don't consider imports (esp. BPs) a challenge anymore. NERD guys...I'm looking in your direction here....

What I suspect you are questioning, though, is about BPs going off feed. It's just something BPs are known for doing. It'll feed great for the longest time and then one day you'll get in there and it will shy away from the food item. It will then do it again at the next feeding...and so on and so forth. At that point some folks get to offering them differently coloured prey, differently sized, altogether different prey item, different presentation, etc etc. At some point they just get back to eating like they never stopped.

Does it happen to all BPs? I wouldn't think so. We have had some that never had a problem. Then again, we didn't keep them all from hatchling until they died of old age. So it's possible we just didn't have them when they decided they needed a nutritional break.

No biggie. It shouldn't sway people from buying a nice, good, healthy and currently feeding Ball.

In my experience a ball python that will eat non-stop year round is the exception to the rule. Changes in prey/size has worked for me. That's why I currently breed mice, gerbils, and siberian hamsters. I haven't personally witnessed different preference for colors though.
