Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

What calcium to use?
I have hatched a few babies this summer. They seemed to be doing fine. I just took them out the other day and one is walking really funny. The left back leg's knee is bending the wrong way. It looks like MBD from what I have read.
The baby is about a month and a half in age. I use T-Rex calcium with d3. Should I be using just a calcium without d3? Also, is there anything I can do to try and help this baby out, reverse the problem?
Thanks everybody!!

use something with just Calcium, none of that vit. D3 stuff, they can overdose on it. they should come back as long as you dust the crickets/worms and have a dish of calcium in there with them. well good luck.

You can also get liquid calcium at the local pharmacy and give him/her a drop a day to help insure they are actually getting teh calcium.
I also leave a dish of non d3 in at all times and dust all feeders with calcium daily, herptivite and calcium weekly and reptivite (conatins d3) and calcium a couple of times a month.

When I had this happen to a baby a few years ago I wrapped the thigh and calf areas loosely with a piece of masking tape leaving the elbow free (you'll probably need to cut the tape down first so it's not too wide). I then loosely taped the thigh and calf together so that the knee was bent in a normal position and kept immobile. The baby was a juvie at the time so it was shedding around every two or three weeks. I think that it was about two and half weeks or so after I splinted that she shed. I removed the splint at this time and the knee functioned normally and she never had another problem. I've had to do this one time since then and it also seemed to solve the problem. If you decide to go this route, the splint will somewhat impede mobility so keep the enclosure very simple.
