Scolopendra alternans “Haitian Giant Centipede”
- This tropical species is found on several islands in the Caribbean Sea. They are very impressive being bulky and achieving 8.75”+ lengths with a beautiful coloration. They have black body bands with a honey bee colored base to their body. They are not for beginner’s or children being that they are fast, agile, aggressive and possess a painful bite. Keep warm and humid with about 3”-4” depth of slightly moist substrate (coco husk/peat moss) and a shallow, but wide water dish. Keep them in a 2.5 to 5 gal. type of enclosure that the lid fits snug (escape proof!). We have WC unsexed large juveniles to adults, 3.5”-6”, for $35 each or 6+@$33 ea.

Phormictopus cancerides “Haitian Brown Birdeater”
- This tropical terrestrial tarantula is one of the bigger tarantula to own. Adults are known to achieve 8”+ leg spans. They are very impressive, always active, feed constantly and on big prey and are beautiful with a cinnamon brown coloration with mature males in purple! Spiderlings emerge from eggs sacs large at .75”+ with a blue coloration. This is a high-strung and very aggressive species, so they are not for beginners or children. Keep warm and humid with about 4”-8” depth of slightly moist substrate (coco husk/peat moss) and a shallow, but wide water dish. Keep them in a 5 to 10 gal. type of enclosure.
