Miniature Herps?

A thought just dawned on me that someone could potentially line breed for smaller herps.

In the leopard gecko industry there are currently "Giant" and "Super Giant" lines being bred.

Has anyone ever attempted this? Is there even a market for this? Would it be harmful to the animals?

Just curious more than anything.
