Steampunk Fox taxidermy

I first posted the 'work in progress' to this in the thread 'What are your other hobbies'. I promised to start a thread when I was done so here it is!!

I put some finishing touches on my Steampunk Fox. I was going to do more on it, but then I started to think that it might get to be too much.

This is my very first skeleton and my very first taxidermy. I learned a LOT doing this and I think my next venture into a skeleton will work out a lot better for all that I learned. It was good to start with the Steampunk because little mistakes don't matter, in fact even the big ones can be written off to 'artistic license'.

I hope you all enjoy! My next work is going to be a fantasy head/shoulder mount of a red fox Spirit of Winter.

Wow! I think that's the coolest creepy thing I've ever seen! You did an amazing job...if that's a "first try" I can't imagine how awesome they'll be when you really get good at it!

Thanks! I have an Animal Sci degree which helped me out. Next up I'm doing a head/shoulder fantasy mount of a Spirit of Winter fox.
