What is acceptable regarding BOI review threads?

I have a question regarding the exact rules regarding BOI complaints/compliments. If one reports an experience and the issue is dealt with and closed, is it still considered acceptable to repost that experience repeatedly? In my opinion, this allows users to abuse what I believe the be the real purpose of the BOI forum. As an example, if I have a bad dealing with a local pet store or online seller, I may repost this experience repeatedly, even adding it to positive accounts of the same store or seller and this can easily give the impression that there are more negative experiences than positive ones. It also makes the point of the prefixes (Good Guy, Bad Guy, etc.) moot, since a Bad Guy thread can just be loaded up with good reviews from friends and inversely a Good Guy thread can be sabotaged by malicious intent. Any thoughts on this?? Cheers,

Since you've seen that the moderators have done nothing to stop the posting of bad experiences in Good Guy threads, it's obviously "acceptable", as per BOI rules. Or, am I giving you too much credit in thinking that you surely must have picked up on the context clues?

People also have the very same right to crash a Bad Guy thread and post their positive reviews, but something tells me that you really don't have a problem with that side of the coin. I don't recall seeing you chastise anyone that made comments that supported you, in your BG thread. Not that there's any real logic to your argument, but if there was; I guess it'd OK to let it appear that there are more good transactions than there actually are. As long as it works in your favor, eh?

It's all about trying to give potential trading partners the chance to know as much as possible before making a decision to do business with someone. Depending on how it's handled, a single botched transaction can outweigh a dozen good ones. It's the bumps in the road that truly tell us what a person is all about.

If you have someone who's still disgruntled over how your transaction turned out, perhaps it'd be more productive to take a more objective look at what part you played in making them so dissatisfied; and what you could have done to make it play out differently. Of course, I suppose that it is easier to just whine about the venue that allows anyone to remind people of the bad as well as the good. Either way, I think that the BOI is set up pretty much exactly how it needs to be.

I think you are not giving the readers enough credit. Simply calling someone a Bad Guy or Good Guy does not make it so.
What is said, how it is said, and the evidence brought all contribute to the credibility of what is posted.
Those who read these threads do not necessarily take everything at face value, they ask questions and make up their own minds about what has been said.

Before we go any further with the conversation YOU want to have, would you mind explaining why your profile states that you are located in Mexico, yet your IP address points to Canada?

Harald brought that up in his Canadian BOI GG thread. His reply:
