This is hilarious!!!!! He looks so mad at me for snapping that shot too!!

Is this the way they always look when they shed???

Howdy,
Yep. That's a pretty typical shed for a Veiled that is still fairly young. Sheds can get tougher when they are more than a few years old.

Here's my Panther about 2 years ago... He was about 3 months old at the time.

Nice pic. As they get older, their shed usually become more and more solid. As in, it comes off in sheets rather than shreds. Like large plates of armour. Also, if you increase the humidity the shed should complete faster and provide less discomfort for them.

Sorry, but that's indicative of a terrible skin condition, and you must soak him in 100% bleach overnight.


Just kidding. Looks great BTW, when they look at you with both eyes, then they truly don't like you. But just one is cool.
