Help with rhinoceros iguana baby

Hi I am a new mommy of a rhino baby I've been told many different stories on what to do I've been told to hold it every chance I can and I have been told to leave it alone for the first two years just feed and water and it will respect me more any advice I would greatly appreciate

Hi Gail. I too, am new to keeping cyclura. I have had my lewisi hybrid for only a few months. I do however have a therory on handling. I figure start them young with regular handling. The more time you spend with them, the more comfortable they will be around you. Also, if it comes down to it, I would rather be bitten by a two month old than a two year old. Im no expert, this is just my opinion. And an fyi, there is fellow named dave durham that has youtube channel that has some really good info on keeping and taming these iguanas.
