Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Welcome!!!
Glad you found your way over to Fauna, Miles! Although we do have an occasional 'heated' discussion here, I think you will find it to be the best website and forum for reptile enthusiasts on the web. Welcome!

thanks!
thanks everyone for the warm welcome.. Golden Gate Gecko's yeah you guys do have all the info it's nice.. and to River Jop thanks for grabbing that file and throwing it up online for me! very thoughtful
little more info.. i kept a wc petco type cornsnake (i know i know) from 6th grade till about two years after i graduated.. soo 8 years for onna thoes aint' too bad =) after twiggy passed away i got a butter corn from serpenco soo this baby should be a heirloom =) that was two years ago.. and i have a high yellow leo i got froma local breeder over the summer.. pixie is soo cute and friendly.. soo cute infact i'm getting another female at the hamburg show this month .. want a paternless they are soo pretty, but i want one about 6 or so months old . I worked at that fish place in the reptile room for a year in high school and my senior year volunteered weekends at the herp room at the north musuem.. after feeding 16' burns rabbits, seeing a large water moniter feed, and getting tagged by a mean full grown black rat (and having great experiences with fred the boa, all the corns, kings, and leo's, dragons, and mixed with the iggys) i pretty much settled on keeping the easy to keep herps =).. but everntully i want to keep a veiled chamelon (been doing research for a few months.. prob will slowly start setting it up in the next year.. i'm obbsessive about having great enclosures with theromasts for each heat source, and day/night timers soo each animals gets zoo quality care.. but it also does a number on my wallet =) ) okay starting to ramble!
Cheers!

one more reply to the reply
oh yeah.. re-read my message and had one more thing.. i used to consider myself a snake person.. but in the few months i've had pixie esp now that she's calming down a little more, and hanging out with me more (she thought i was gonna eat her for awhile even tho the breeder had handled her from birth) but they really do catch your heart.. they just make the most adorable little faces and are soo delicate totally cute.. i'm used to snakes.. and my american pit bull terrier dog (who is also a total love monkey and will give people the most gentle little dog kisses, but is also strong as an ox!).. soo having this little gentle gecko is just wonderful.. totally know why you guys keep soo many! thanks again!
Cheers!,

I think what I like most with this thread is that some people are not what you would expect. I thought some of you were much older then what you are and I thought others were younger. Now I know for sure Jodi is a man....I understand about the name thing, I still get Mr attached to my name at times...
It makes us a closer knit reptile community in my opinion!
And if I ever see any of y'all at shows I'll know who is who...then again I'll probably forget....keep the pics coming!

In Puerto Rico
Frank's Geckos visits Dorado Del Mar, Puerto Rico in 2004. Lots of Herps around for the eyes to see.
