If there were any legal $55 options for shipping venomous snakes, that would be nice to know about. Cheapest possible to my knowledge is $68 to meet the Delta requirements for shipping live venomous reptiles in a legal, marked container.

Would any of the more experienced Delta shippers please chime in?

and your point is what?? didn't I post that I ship venomous and NONvenomous through delta?? didn't I post that I have paid more than $55 for shipping on several occasions. I only ship in legal containers and boxing methods with all the stuff that goes through delta, how could you do it any other way?? they do inspect the boxes, if you know so much about delta, you should know that.

Besides venomous go delta and that starts at like $55 or something.

Venomous snakes do not start at $55 to ship Delta. As far as I know, no live animal cargo can be legally shipped for cheaper than $68 through Delta.

That's the thing, I *don't* know all that much about Delta shipping since I only do it a few times a year. I am not a dealer; I only let snakes go to accredited institutions or trusted individuals who can show that they give good care including veterinary support to their animals. That's why I am asking dealers and more experienced shippers to chime in here and share their knowledge.

And no, they don't always inspect the boxes. Out of all the times I've shipped venomous snakes out of my local Delta cargo office, they have asked to look inside the box exactly once.

You shouldn't have chimed in about something that you don't know anything about. They are required to check ALL freight now to see that they are properly packed and boxed. On SOME shipments you can ship priority first and use a commodity code(0187 to be exact) and that will cut down on the cost. Delta has been quite strict on shipping as of late with all the terrorist threats and such, I ship with them quite a bit and I know this for a fact. There is no scenario in which I or anyone else could try to do anything except ship under the guidelines delta has, I will say that just because I know there will be some idiot jumping in saying "well you probably do this" or "you probably do that".

Really? Then why do Delta records show that you have *not* been shipping with them for the last nine months? And why does one of your customers have a UPS tracking number for a package that originated 3.7 miles from your address in Gresham?

I just spent the most sickening 30 minutes reading this thread and now I regret that I did but it is too late now. Since I did take the time to read this thread I would like to make a few observations. The most reasonable person that has been involved in this whole thing hasn't made a comment in many pages. I am refering to Ray. If I am not mistaken his last post was the one in which he states that there hasn't been a Delta shipment in the last nine months yet Kevin claims to have emailed Ray with the information needed to prove that he shipped properly. Jeremy has provided emails that can easily be altered and even in the ones that he did provide he approved shipping a snake in an improper and very dangerous way. If that is the case both parties are equally at fault without question. As for the snake itself irrelavent of my or others opinions of the parties in question I have to say that Jeremy seems to be on the wrong side since he hasn't done anything within reason to attempt to correct what he sees as a problem with the snake.

I am inserting my two cents worth since I subjected myself to the unbelievable childish antics of so many different, I assume adults, people wanting to bash verge from topic and just down right be mean. I am not going to point out anyone individual nor am I saying that everyone that has commented has been childish. I can understand why some people would be upset about some of the issue that have been raised but some of the comments and antics that has been displayed here have been totaly unnessecary. I hope that I haven't hurt anyones feelings with my observations, ifso I applogize but I was unable to not say something after reading the entire thread.

Again I would love to hear what Ray has to say at this point, assuming that he did recieve the emails from Kevin.

I can't even count how many times I have shipped using delta in the past year. That is crazy and Ray never said that I didn't ship with delta in the last year, he said that he couldn't find the airbill for Jeremy. The burger flipper thing is getting really old since I do nothing of the sort and I do just fine. Once again you are harping on the $55 dollar thing. I can ship venomous for as little as $68, there, will that get you off this obsessive little trip?

Very well put. I agree with your post, it shows great intelligence which will be totally wasted on this site, but your post was good even with that in mind. I do accept responsibility for some of the bashing. Yes, it is childish, but given the fact that 98% of the people that decided to join this thread came here specifically to make wild accusations about me basically because they do not approve of venomoids, I didn't mind being childish right back at them. I will not take any responsibility for the fact that I am accused of shipping UPS, my fault only lies in not allowing Jeremy to rip me off, since that is obviously his main problem when he started this whole thread with lies and false accusations. If you also start from the beginning you will notice that not once does he ever mention why he was so against making a deal right that he felt he was wronged in, when my only request was to make it a secure transaction. That side of it got lost about thirty pages ago, not because it wasn't important, but because the main goal of the majority of the posters was to come on here and make an evil venomoider look bad. You can see this scenario play out with the same few anti venomoiders on several different forums on several different websites.

I am a currier for someone in the area. Once a week, I drive to drop off numerous venomous shipments. Some are sent Priority 1, some are sent Dash. None of the shipments sent out have even come close to such a rate. $67.09 is the lowest I have seen this magic number. The rates don't change too much based on destination. I ship from Texas too, and I have shipped all over from this point. Your distance from Oregan to NY is much farther. This would certainly be more if sent priority 1 or Dash. You can't tell me or anyone else any info to back up your claim that you did it the right way. No approx amount, no bill, no proof, nobody coming to back your claim. Nothing. I'll also take some fries w/ that, burgerboy.

Since you aren't bright enough to fabricate a sound lie or abide by the rules, i wonder if your brain can generate enough power to change fryer grease? Quit the hobby, give your snakes to someone else, and never return again. You aren't wanted and nobody respects you. Can't you see that?

I have a question about that, would it say "king cobra" on the computer or would it say "live venomous reptiles"? Last time I checked it very rarely says the species on any airbill or box.
