Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I might lose my job...
Last week there was $430 missing from the safe. This has been a problem recently. Week before this there was $250 missing. And so on and so forth. We have one of those safes with the little trays to drop money so once it is in there no one but the manager has access to it. The money was from a drop made by a girl who signed for it and everything (who for some reason ALWAYS works the days were are short, who started working here when the problems started and who is also dating the guy who was fired a few months back from here for... STEALING MONEY!!!). There are a lot more details in that arena, but the evidence points towards her and her name was on the slip. Well she was fired because of it, but now they are turning thier accusations on ME because I also worked that day! They are going over the cameras tomorrow to try to pin it on me because although she was fired, I'm thier next suspect. I handle money all day. I use the safe frequently. Dropping money, getting change, etc. Just my luck they are going to see me counting money or making a drop or something and say I did it! It makes no nevermind to them that after the money goes in the tray that I have no access to it unless I grow robot arms and can bend them around metal. The only money I have access to is what is in the till and what is in the change drawer, which neither were off. If I were gunna steal I certainly wouldn't take just a few hundred dollars and just assume they wouldn't notice that much was gone. I'd clean them out. So now I get to sit here and hope that the cameras can prove my innocence. It's not innocent until proven guilty, it's guilty until proven innocent! I can't afford to lose this job or worse! My wife is out of work and I am our only source of income.

oh no! If the other person was already fired, seems silly to go after you too.. (wouldn't they have needed to review the tapes to catch her stealing in order to fire?)
I hope it works out for you and you don't lose your job!

If they don't have evidence and fire you anyway, I'd lawyer up.

Thanks for the support.
I still don't trust it. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I am sick to my stomach right now. I guess worst comes to worst I lose my job or get a slap on the wrist from the Ohio penal system so I shouldn't worry too much, right? I've always been a good little monkey at work and elsewhere in my life. I've never been in a situation like this, so I don't have a clue what to do. Guess that is why we have lawyers so they can tell us what to do. Worst thing on my record was a failure to yeild on a 4wheeler when I was 15 (gasp!). The only thing I'm guilty of is having my wife help me close a couple times when we were really busy and I didn't want to stay til 3:00am closing by myself. I set her loose cleaning while I did counts and all the paperwork. Yeah, I understand them frowning upon that, but its not the end of the world...
I need a beer and a cigarette!

Losing your job and facing criminal charges are two completely different things. If you are charged with a crime you are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Sorry, I'm just really stressed and blabbing. Kinda hitting a low moment right now emotionally. I guess I meant either way I'm screwed, but oh well, it could be worse. Not like they are saying I killed someone. I've still got a great family who loves me.
It doesn't help that my father in law is in the same boat as me right now either. He is a plumber and was accused of stealing a lady's $4,700 wedding ring. We know he didn't steal it and thereis no evidence other than he was there when it supposedly went missing, but he still has to go to court over it and that scares me too, especially because he has a 3 year old son to support.
What the heck happens if we both get taken away from our families? We are the bread winners and I cannot have my wife or her mother and brother out of the streets. I cannot let that happen!
Thanks for putting up with my complaining and mindless yammering.

I hope all goes well and that you keep your job. But it might help you if you took a moment and realized that having your wife work for a little while is not going to make the universe come to an end. I have worked for over 40 years and I'm blessed and happy.
You sound like a great person.

Not sure where you work, but most places do the same thing when they have money come up missing. If you didn't do anything you have nothing to worry about. They will look at tapes to see if they find anything, and if they don't they will try to get you to admit to doing it.
My wife went thru it when $50 or $100 came up missing from her till at work. They talked to her for an hour or so and tried to get her to admit to it. They tried to confuse her and get her to mix up her story. They kept telling her how it would be easier on her, or she could leave, once she admitted to it. She didn't do it and refused to admit to it just to make it stop. In the end she kept her job even though they never found out what happened to it.
And tell your father in law when he's in court to bring up the ladies secret boyfriend that was there too..... Would be funny to see how her and the husband react. Same thing with him too. He didn't do it. If he did they would press criminal charges and the police would investigate. And without he won't be prosecuted. Sounds more like she's out for money than anything.

If it wasn't the police then they have no right to force her to stay while they bully her into a confession.
Go in, tell your story, answer questions and then leave. Unless the police are involved, they can't hold you. It's their burden to prove whatever they are accusing you of doing.
Document everything. Get copies of anything you sign.
