My Pueblan died! Mysterious way, can someone inform me?

my baby pueblan was trying to shed, and i woke up in da morning and it had a cut in the middle of it,and its skin on its tail was alll dry and sticky, i had a 2 ft gray banded king that died the same way. My mom figured the cut got infected, but what about the dry and sticky skin? does anybody know anything about this?

Can you give a little more information? What do you mean it had a "cut" in the middle of it? Did the cut go down the body or around it? Also, did you notice any cuts on the snake before you found it that morning?

About the sticky shed skin. Freshly shed skin is still fairly soft and can be sticky. I have caught my milksnakes shedding and found the skin to be very sticky. I am sure it has something to do with the process of shedding where the epidermis splits so the upper layer is shed and the lower layer is retained.
