Why would you take all your new snakes (even captive bred) to a vet to get them pumped full of toxins/medicine because they "might" have worms? Isn't that what fecal exams are for?

I agree, snakes are not like cats and dogs where you automatically get them wormed at 4-6 weeks. First of all, snakes are a lot more sensitive to medications, and they definitely should not be treated with anything that is not completely necessary. A fecal exam comes first before just blindly treating it with anything that "might just do the trick".
I kind of wonder if this is a vet that specializes in herp medicine or even remotely knows how to treat a baby boa.
