Pet Snails

I was just thinking the other day how cool it would be to have a couple slugs and snails as pets. The main problem I've heard is they tend to reproduce rapidly, even alone. But that can be taken care of if you look for eggs regularly.

My question is if anyone has had these guys or if anyone else thinks that would be fun. They fascinate me. Would a rack system work for these? Like with some slide outs or something.

I remember keeping them as a kid, and yeah, they reproduced rapidly, lol..but that's pretty cool, too, esp for a pre-school aged animal nut

There are apple snails too, very large water snails, and some people keep them as pets.
