I don't care if it's pro gun, anti gun, pro or anti abortion, pro or anti vaping, they all put the spin on. They will tell you something that is technically true but leave out the details.
Take for instance vaping. They made this huge stink about popcorn lung disease and how some eliquids have this component in it. So much of a stink that flavoring companies started making new versions without it.
Then the studies came out. The eliquid with highest amount of Diacetyl that causes popcorn lung was very low. In fact smokers have between 100x to 750x more exposure to Diacetyl than people who vape. No smoker has been diagnosed with popcorn lung. In fact only workers in factories with 1000 of barrels of it daily for years with no protection have been diagnosed with it.
I'm not a gun person but I know anti gun people do the same as do the pro gun people. They will say or do what ever they feel needs to be said to get there idea out there.
Unfortunately most times there is not much we can do about it.
