Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Dave Fisher scammer?
I was wondering if any breeders/dealers have been approached by a guy named Dave Fisher. He approached me about buying $500 in snakes but wants to send a $6000 check to pay for them, I'm to send the rest back...an old scam...I was wondering if anyone has heard of this guy and if not beware.

It might not even be him that is contacting you. Overseas scammers commonly use the names of people they have harvested and targeted in the past. I dont think you'd ever find a David Fisher in Nigeria. Ever.

I just got they guy's payment in the mail today....$5,000 worth of phony American Express Travelers checks, they've been sent back to American Express and the police are also looking into it.

You may want to note that you have to have your full name included somewhere on any post on the BOI sjohn, or it very well may get deleted....just FYI.

People just don't stop.... It's really sad. Greed is rampant and it won't stop. Makes me sad that some people will take advantage of others like that...
