help identify this snake

Snake in picture is smaller than it appears.
Found in a pool in Minneola Florida today.
Friend wants to know if its dangerous to handle.
Described as "black with orange/red ring around neck,
red underside" but you can tell most of that from the picture.

What do you think it is and what's a safe way to get rid of it?
I should think its body temp would plummet in a pool (although it
is heated) rather quickly and then it'd die there if unable to escape.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Yep, eastern ringneck without a doubt. These are some of the COOLEST snakes around!! I really miss finding them under rocks and stuff! They eat little invertebrates. I've handled dozens and never once did they try to bite.

Southern Ringneck, harmless to all but an annelid!
