TO cool or not to cool.. help me decide

I have heard many differnet theories on cooling and not cooling befor the breeding cylce. Can you all give me your feed back on if you cool or not...

It would be nice if you guys would share your breeding tactics. ( when you put males with females, what month you start, etc)

Thanks for the help, from a novice breeder

Here's a pretty good cook book (IMO) from the Markus Jayne website describing one method to breed ball pythons. I'm certainly no expert but I generally follow the procedure and have had success.

I was going to use his plan but I just found out I am only going to be home on the weekends during october. I trust my girl friend enough to make sure temps are ok but not enough to adjust my ranco at night . I really wanted to do it his way and that has been the plan since I got my snakes, but now I have to do something else. I was thinking of maybe starting to cool in november?? or not to cool at all. Any ideas of what you all do or what you may think will work for me.

let me know
chris

I started cooling mine 3 weeks ago and yesterday my male cinnamon hooked up with his first female and they're still going. Cooling helps viable sperm production in males. And triggers the females too. I know I feel a lot more confident that they've been cooled and obviously it's working.
