MTR has a male Russian tortoise available for adoption. The tortoise has been in our care since early spring and was very ill when it arrived. It was treated for parasites and received antibiotics, along with numerous tube feedings. Its healthy, active, and eating a highly varied diet based on russiantortoise.org. Its been supplemented with cactus, dandelion, hibiscus, and other flowers that are dried or in powdered form and is eating timothy and orchard grass hay mixed in with salad greens. Due to the nature of the rehab and the long-term care this tortoise has received, the adoption fee is: $65, plus shipping charges if applicable.
