Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

What glass and where to buy for custom cages?
Hey guys I'm about to start building my cages for my boas and I just need to figure out what type of glass to use and where to find it. I didn't want to use real glass bc I just feel like it'll break. What are some other options to look into? I know that there are some pieces at home depot but that's lexan and it's very flimsy I feel like the snake would be able to push it and get out. Whatever I choose will be attached with hinges on the bottom and fold down. Size is going to be about 30x12. Thanks in advance.

Your options are glass, acrylic or plexi. I have acrylic in my boa cages. You can find these products at any glass shop...Open up your yellow pages and look up Glass.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with plexiglass. I can get enough for all 6 cages I'm going to build for $75. Does that sound decent? They are 3 12x24 pieces and 3 12x36 pieces.

It only sounds decent if the plexi is the appropriate thickness. On a cage I built for my boas & burms (about 1994), the size I used was approx. 24" x 4.5' x 1/4" (4 pcs) & cost about $100. I got it from a glass shop.
