I think most are missing the point. The animal was purchased during an auction! An auction is typically much different then listing the animal for sale. Most animals on auctions are harder to sell items. Those that get involved bidding on a live animal during an auction should assume 100% responsibility. Items sold at auctions typically sell for well under fair market value.
Are breeders that wholesale animals to large scale buyers responsible for disclosing all posible traits of each mutation.
Those that sell whole clutches at a discounted price- Do they offer a guarantee if the animal never gets started and dies? Do they go into detail stating "It could be harmful to over-stress an unstarted baby ball python through standard overnight shipping, but if your willing to take the chance and then get it started yourself....I'll save you a few bucks!
Let's not go down any of these roads.
If you want 100% support from the breeder, then purchase from a listed add.
If you want a bargain price, bid during an auction, but common sence should tell someone to do their homework first!
