I've been tasked with adding a new moderator to this site a while back, and we all batted around some candidates to consider. After a LOT of due consideration, I asked Melinda (bcr229) if she would be willing to lend a helping hand here and take some of the load off of the current moderator staff. Surprisingly enough, even with her experience moderating a few other sites, she chose to help us. Honestly, I always feel a little guilty asking anyone to put on a moderator's hat here on this site, because it CAN be quite a burden to them, and sometimes I feel that it is akin to asking someone to donate a kidney to me.
But be that as it may, I believe that I have the best moderation staff on this site compared to anywhere else on the net, and I believe that Melinda will be a strong asset here. So please make her feel welcome in her new role, and please try not to piss her off too much. Good moderators are very hard to come by.
