No telling for sure causes illnesses to kick in like they do. In this case it was the undropped litter in her gut. It basically poisoned her system from the inside. Once the system is in a weakened state, other entities can start to form, etc.

I can say that if he paid better attention to his snakes, this may have been a fixable thing caught earlier on.

Thanks again for the support. I'm officially retired from rescues now. Right now I just have too many nice animals to take a chance bringing something home to them. So for the hands on part, I am done.
