Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

ps. I rarely spend any time whatsoever on BOI, even with this thread, as I've got enough to tend to currently and considering holidays and my personal life. For those not paying close attention - that does not mean that I'm ignoring the OP, as I have animals coming in to choose from to help alleviate the issue with Wai/Ken.

And, so that means I probably only check this thread, at best, once/day.

The BOI works. Input from community members, their skill, experience, and questions, DOES matter, and helps to make the BOI work.

You can go to many reptile sites and see advice to prospective buyers to check the BOI prior to purchase.

Hmm. Not sure where? And, just to clarify for Simple Simon’s sake – a “Jerry Springer-ism” is not an ethnic slur, but rather a English colloquial for unruly behavior, whether taken positively or negatively.

Buyer’s objective – to breed P. rugosus at 1st available opportunity – late summer 2014.
Seller’s objective – to help supply an appropriate female in time for the buyer’s objective (or, rather ASAP).
Solution – people stop driveling over that which does not matter, and get a female for the buyer ASAP.
The rest of the input here from those not involved does not really matter – which helps define why most people ignore this website.
The rest of the input from those who are involved – can be worked out. I generally do not tell someone that “animals are on their way from somewhere” until they get here alive and well 1st. To help keep the “pipes clean” I’m not interested every single theoretical detail - even for myself. If the person is a known breeder, and not some gypsy living out of the back of their car, the animal will come when ready (and in this case giving Wai a free rugosus for waiting). Female P. rugosus are not setting around on FB, KS or any other advertising medium known in the USA. So, with live commodities, sometimes a wait is inevitable. Did I expect this problem? Refer to definition of problem above. Solution? Refer to solution above. The original poster “suffering” ? What is suffering? Having 2.0 P. rugosus, as opposed to 1.1 P. rugosus – when the only difference in breed-ability, which will not be realized until summer 2014? If I were in the OP position (which I have been many times before) then I’m only out a few extra insects for feeding an unwanted male, and free to sale (since I’ve offered to let him keep it) it whenever the female arrives.
Wai is afraid to receive animals during suitable and normal shipping conditions during the summer? In the same respect, I seriously doubt he could ship live geckos back to me.

Jon, a lot things you mentioned above are not true and just your point of views. Here is my suggestion I believe it will take care the problem right away, you send the refund to your good friend in LA, I drive there give him your two geckos and pick up the cash from him hand to hand, is that fair?

What do ya know....somebody not receiving the fluff treatment tries to discredit the BOI and its effectiveness. Like we haven't seen THAT tactic before.

Yes, it was before he shipped the geckos to me, at that time Palm Springs over 100F in summer, he mentioned that he has a friend I believe his named Frank in LA, he can ship the geckos to him and I drive to pick up there since LA temperature is much cooler than Palm Springs.
I still have those emails in record, I didn't post them here because they are not related to this issue.

Well, how about doing us a favor? Climb back up into your ivory tower so you can look down your long nose at all us poor lowly grubworms on this site, and don't look back.
In other words, fella, if you want to come to this site to bash, it, hit the road. And don't come back. Join all those "most people ignore this website" and go wherever it is they hang out instead. "Birds of a feather" and all that...
Another crack like you made, and it won't be at your option that you will be exiting this stage. I will escort you out, personally.

Then maybe you shouldn't refer to gypsies as living in the back of cars on the Internet if you don't know what you are saying. I would do a quick google search and maybe some slight education on the group you just stereotyped and insulted. Every race suffers from poverty or has had to live in the back of a car at one point, but I'm glad to see humor at their expense.
