St. Marks, FL lighthouse

Connie and I drove down to the St. Marks lighthouse state park last week to see if the monarch butterflies were down there as should be happening this time of year. Yep, quite a few of them feeding on the flowers that abounded around the paths in the park. Also saw other wildlife as well. We had forgotten what a really nice place this is, as it's been years since we have last been there, even though it's practically in our own backyard. It's a great place to ride bikes on the dikes (as long as you don't fall off and the gators get you!), and quite a good spot for birding and viewing other wildlife. Of course, that "wildlife" included mosquitos and biting flies as well, but oh well, that's just nature, I suppose.

Guess I need to pump up those tires on the bikes and run on out there sometime soon to bike the trails.
