redrott	snake collecting in va need some info I plan to try to field collect some snakes in va this year. I am looking for anything I can find since this will be my first time. When is a good time of year and day to start. WHat type of places should I look for to look for them at. Like a field, some woods, or just around ponds and stuff. I have never seen a snake in the wild since I was a little kid but I haven't been looking for them either. Any advice on where and when to look would be great. also what can i expect to find if anyone knows I saw a few species on the state fish and wildlife site that are native to my county ( PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY VIRGINIA) But what is the most typical species I will probably find. Right now I would be estatic to find anything.
