I have been anticipating this pairing since they were born. The mother was at least 12 yrs old when I bought out Dan Perry a couple years ago, but had not been bred in at least 3 seasons. Sadly, she passed away a few months after laying her eggs. I bred two albino Black Rats together, and one of the first snakes out of the egg looked normal, not albino. After they all come out I realized there were T+ and T- albinos in the clutch. I was very happy to say the least.

I went to check on the female since she wasn't in her nest box. She had laid her eggs in the hide box. I made use of several of the coffee containers we throw out every few days. When laid on its side with the lid on, it makes a great hide box if you cut a hole in the lid.

I got my first eggs today from the second round of pairings. They are from my triple het corn pairing, motley striped bloods. Fingers are crossed! I will try and get a photo later if possible.

Grats Shane, those NC locality corns are real pretty. Also cool to see black rat morphs still being bred

Thanks. I really enjoy working with the locality corns. They are getting better with each generation.
