ok heres how it all starts off .....
once upon a time ...
ok i have a huge showcase i keep my large Male & female boas in , well today i notice the female has started her shed , so being a good father i decide ill hep her and grab the wtaer bottle and commence to spraying her down. Now in doing this i had opened one of the large glass slidding doors about 3" to spray her down . Ok so then i decide while im here ill go ahead and fill up there large water soaking tub at the same time .So i go fill up a pitcher with water and come back and commence to filling the tub . now keep in mind i had to open the opposite door to do so ( and its nascar raceday) so after filling the tub with water i go into watch the rest of the race . ABout 20 mins later i hear a strange noise just passed it off as nothing . so after the race i walk back into the room to find only that i had left the one door open 3 inches !!! #### i say and only one snakes in the cage now . So in a panic stat o start looking all over the room to no avail i then notice that my bedroom window is open on ( its on the 2nd floor with the front porch roof open to it !so i proceed out the window searching the roof line for the missing snakeNothing . i then go to the ground and crawl all under the front porch searching the ground cover( which is heavily covered in leaves ) thinking he had crawled down somehow and may be there .again nothing to be found so by now im trying to not alert the kind neighbors as to the escapee in the neighborhood .As i look up again my eyes following a 80-100 foot pine tree just off the roofline on the porch i see him !!! perched in the tp of the tree . i immeadiately head for the roof armed with only shorts and the will to overcome this ordeal. well as i start scaling the tall pintree the male looks at me and ventures further out & up the tree onto a limb i know theres noway i can get onto .So while sitting in this tall pine tree my neighbor walks out and i hear" alan what are you doing up the tree?" well at his point it became obvious as to what has happened . Okay so i see theres noway i can try to get on the small limbs of this pine tree to get him back in a safe manner . so i climb BACk down and grab a rat from the feeding cages , i then look and find some heavy fishing line to tie off the rat as a lure or crankbait if you will. again i start scaling the tree the second time as the boas watching me intently i release the bait ! the lil rat stars climbing the limb meanwhile the boa is watching us both and and im trying to keep in this 80-100 ft pinetree with out killing myself... then it happend STRIKING RANGE KABLAM !!!!!! the boa takes the bait !!!!!!! and i immeadiately set the hook by yanking the rat & snake towards me , they fall off the limb and luckily he is not letting go of this easy lunch. so by now there 3-4 neighbors watching from far below this escapade ordeal goin on . as i get the snake and rat inhand i start back down the tree to remove the fishing line and let him enjoy his meal in his cage once again ireachj the roof where i hear the crowd below laughing in amazement of what they just witnessed . well i am totally happy to say hes now sitting back in the cage SECURELY CLOSED and one more rat happier then before he started his adventure outdoors w/o a guide.

so just couldnt go with out letting this one slide , im just happy to say none of the neighbors captured this on film ... lol i would have never lived down the pictures they would have shared .. .
ok well im off to try to remove the sticky pine sap i have all over me now , enjoy the story
