Snakes on a Plane

Only saw this on CNN yesterday, but it is a movie due to release in August, starring Samuel L. Jackson (how low can he go ?). The trailers indicate that the movie did not miss a single absurdity. Here's the story line from a movie website:

Plot Outline: On board a flight over the Pacific Ocean, an assassin, bent on killing a passenger who's a witness in protective custody, lets loose a crate full of deadly snakes.

My initial fears were that this would have to do with an irresponsible shipper, which may still be a part of it, but I was somewhat comforted that it was the "deliberate act of an assassin". Works for me! In any case, I think we can expect some human interest stories as the release date nears of real life snake escapes on planes etc. I am trying to imagine the movie promoters on a "this could really happen" campaign? I want to believe that it won't generate any legitimate fall-out, as some of the visuals made "Anaconda" look realistic, but if there is any reaction, I also would not expect it to be an "under-reaction". From what I could tell, all the snakes that were "killed" were computer generated. If you Google it, there's a blog and a bunch of other stuff. I might have to wait for the DVD.

When oh when are they going to do like an "Otis and Milo" type movie for reptiles? You know, the cute ball python and the leopard gecko get separated from their loving family with the distraught and heartbroken 12 year old crying his eyes out. Then we get to see the ball and gecko's touching, adventuress, dangerous and tear jerking journey back home to the heart broken 12 year old.

Shrap, seems an entrepreneurial opportunity just fell into your lap!

I mean the Geico gecko has already opened some doors. Perhaps he would even be available to do your film.

Party...

A bunch of my herper friends and I are going to make a fun evening of going to see the movie. Check our brains at the door and hopefully be entertained!

The problem with the Giecko Gecko is that they refer to it as an amphibian!
