meal worms breeding and food for beetles

I think I'll be trying to bred mealworms anyone knwo what I need to do? What do the beetles eat? I have close to a dozen in a small contianer with oatmeal in it.

Hey, I dont know the answers, but how did you get so many beetles. I have only 1 and it has been about 1 month. How long did it take for you to have that many beetles? Thanks,

when they change to "aliens" I put them in a dark box and then check it daily and remove the beetles.

We keep our mealworm breeding colonies on wheat bran ($10 for a 50 lb bag at PetSmart). We feed them carrots and potatoes.

Each colony probably has 500-1000 beetles in it. You'll need a fair amount of beetles if you want to produce anything.
