Elemental Exotic's corn pairing 2014.

Only doing one breeding of corns this year. Vash, Phantom Masque, poss het Amel x Stormy, Phantom, suspected Masque, poss het Amel. This was the first witnessed lock between them that I saw.







And then the second witnessed lock.









Stormy just shed last night with what I'm thinking was her pre-lay shed. Expecting eggs any day now.

Stormy started to lay this morning and is up to at least 7 great looking eggs, that I can see. Pictures to come once she is finished!

Here are some pictures. If I counted right, there are 26 eggs in this clutch with one maybe a bit iffy.

That is a very nice sized clutch. Congrats!
Now for the wait.

Here is Stormy, a bit deflated after losing 204 grams from laying her eggs. And I miss counted, not surprising after as little sleep as I had at the time. There are 27 eggs.

Here are some more egg pictures, two look slightly iffy but the others are looking very good.





This one is the only one not connected to the others and despite what seems to be good humidity, has dented in. It does however have good veins at the moment.



Then the middle one at the bottom of the picture is the other iffy one that had a window and is smaller than all of the others. It has no veins that I can see but is not positioned well for candling. It is firmly connected to other eggs.

Finally!! Woke up to four pippies this morning! All little Phantom noses so far.

Now at five pips and one completely out.

First baby, SxV61114-1 or likely to just be called #1. Came in at 7 grams, wonderful temperament so far. And first gender check looked female. (I candled her briefly, before getting her squared away) Will check gender a few more times after she starts eating though, before officially labeling #1 a girl.

Another one has emerged and one more has pipped, with a third being halfway out. While I moved the one out to it's enclosure, my husband snapped a few more pics of the pippies.







Then here is SxV61114-2 or #2. This one is 6 grams and also appeared female, although it really didn't want to cooperate with me checking, so I'm really not sure on that.

The final baby to emerge last night before bed, SxV61114-3. Weighs 7 grams and maybe male.
