please help

I have an iguana that I i guess you could say saved. I got him from a guy walking around on the street with him in his arms, and he didn't look to healthy. the guy asked if I wanted him, I felt sorry for the little guy to I said yes and took him home. I am trying to get him healthy ang all good again but I have never had an iguana before so I don't think that I am the best person for the job. He is a little fiesty and he has a "y" slit in his tail. My honest opinion is that he was someones pet and he got loose and was in the wild running around or this guy that I got him from didn't care about him. So since I have no experiance in caring for an iguana and am more of a snake person anyways I would like to find him a good home where he can get everything he needs.
