Just wondering about retics and burms..

Hey guys, I don't plan on getting either a retic or a burm in the near future (and doubt I ever will), but I was just curious about a couple things. Number one, what size cage would last each one its entire life? Number two, here do you get feeders for them? By them I mean like 12'+ ones...or the ones that should have prey larger than a rabbit.

Thanks guys!

cant say anything for retics i don't have any of them but for my burms right now i have them in a few diffrent size enclosures until there final home is done and when its done should do them fine for the rest of there lives its going to be 12x3x2 and for food i get mine at reptile shows i have one here that goes on every other week so not a problem there and they have all the feeders and sizes you need prey larger then rabbits i guess would be pig but you can get yourself some good size rabbits again all them available here for me i actually feed one of my boys pigs now hope that answered a few of your questions

I kept my big ones in 8x3x2 cages...of course, they were only in the 15-18 ft range. I usually fed them rabbits. You can get them at reptile shows, Rodent Pro (and similar), livestock auctions. I brought home ducks ONCE...never again, lol. What a mess. Pigs are an option if you think they need something bigger.

Maine Law

If you're thinking of having burms, retics, or even Argentine boas, they and much more are illegal in Maine. I suggest before you worry about feeding or housing them you resaerch the laws wherever you're located before obtaining anything.

Like I said, I probably won't get one. By probably I mean almost definately. I was just curious. I've read through the restricted species list multiple times. The fact that BCI's aren't on there bugs me.

you want them to restrict BCI? Granted, I am not familiar with what is restricted in Maine...but why?

I meant that BCI isn't on the UNrestricted list, my bad. BCC is unrestricted, but BCI isn't mentioned anywhere. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

They have 2 lists? Restricted and not? Or is it just a list of what is specifically allowed?
